The 3 inch double check detector backflow preventer assembly is used primarily on fire sprinkler and standpipe systems requiring detection of unauthorized water use and prevents the backflow of pollutants that are objectionable but not toxic, from entering into the potable water supply. This assembly consists of an epoxy coated cast iron body with flanged end connections, two in-line independent poppet-type check valves, replaceable bronze check seats, UL listed outside stem and yoke resilient seated gate valves, and 4 test cocks. The maximum working pressure is 175 psi (12.1 bar).
