LF925GD
Ductile Iron Pressure Relief and Surge Anticipator Control Valve
The LF925GD (Globe) and LF925AD (Angle) Series is designed to minimize the effects of water hammer and pressure surges resulting from normal pump starting and stopping operations or mechanical or electrical power failure situations. The valve senses pressure changes above and below normal pumping operation directly from the pump station discharge header, and opens on either a high or low pressure signal. If discharge header pressure exceeds the adjustable setpoint, the valve opens quickly to dissipate the high pressure surge. If discharge header pressure falls below the adjustable setpoint, the valve opens in anticipation of a returning high pressure wave. This condition normally occurs during a mechanical or electrical power failure situation. The valve is equipped with a unique hydraulic accumulator closing system to avoid system siphonage.
Features
- Minimizes the effects of water hammer and pressure surges from pump starting and stopping operations or mechanical or electrical power failure situations
- For installation on branch of tee off main pumping header
- Hydraulic Accumulator System prevents system siphoning or draining of the pumping system
- Opening and closing speed are adjustable and high and low pressure setpoints are separately adjustable
